ECOHEMP marked the beginning of a new, largely sustainable cable line from CORDIAL. Now the new ECOCORD instrument and patch cables are following: 100% PVC-free - featuring a recyclable cable sheath made of TPE-V. No PVC waste which is difficult to recycle, no harmful gases during the disposal processes. Both in the cabling of mixing desks or racks and in the home studio: there is almost always a lack of space. Microphone cables get kinked or take a bend that is too tight, and cable breakage is pre-programmed in the long run. In order to make use of the last centimetres even in the last corners and to protect the cable at the same time, Cordial has now completed its series of right-angled microphone cables with the new CPM FMR. The 90° XLR connector from NEUTRIK® saves space at the most crucial points: Whether it's a clean connection to the audio interface or the last centimetres behind the studio monitor.

The CMK 222 bulk cable used is known for its robust jacket, which provides excellent protection against damages. The conductor area of 0.22 mm² ensures very good signal transmission and thus dynamic sound without significant losses. Transparent shrink tubes at the cable ends simplify individual labelling.

The new CPM FMR is available in 5 lengths (0.50m, 1.00m, 2.50m, 5.00m and 10.00m).

On October 28th and 29th the SOMM DEALER DAYS will take place in Berlin: the first comprehensive MI industry meeting in Germany since the beginning of the pandemic. They are explicitly intended as a pure B2B event for all music retailers to listen to workshops or learn about new products in a relaxed atmosphere.

The alliance #AlarmStageRed invited the reprise of its nationwide protest action on June 22: the "Night Of Light 2021". Again, event locations, cultural monuments, etc. were illuminated in red on June 22. Cordial also let its company building shine in red light at night.

Technically supported by the partners Veranstaltungstechnik Thomas Wild and CONRAD Licht & Rigging Support, Cordial set a sign of solidarity. For the support of the industry by politics and the public.

The second part of the Night of Light will take place on 22.06.2021. The past year has posed enormous challenges for the event and culture business. Improvements are still only taking place in very small steps. The light at the end of the tunnel is not yet clear enough to be seen. Therefore, the "Night of Light" organizers have decided to launch the second part of the campaign across Europe. It is still important to set an example and to point out to the political decision-makers as well as to the public in general that not yet "everything is good again".

Cordial will also light up the company building in Dachau near Munich in red again. We see ourselves as part of the event industry and would like to express our solidarity with the badly hit companies and artists.

We are happy to welcome last year's partners Veranstaltungstechnik Thomas Wild and CONRAD Licht & Rigging Support back on board for the complete handling of the installation as well as for the provision of the lighting equipment.

Lockdown - actually the worst case for musicians. Cordial friend Ronja Maltzahn doesn't let times of crisis get in the way of her positive attitude; after all, she is a musical and organizational all-rounder. Her planned "living room or garden concerts" are a special point, which she pursues with enthusiasm. She also talks about the possibilities of state aid for artists in crisis or about crazy situations in the context of her current CD production. And one always senses when she tells: "just don't bury your head in the sand, it'll work out".

Especially for particularly "stressful" times, Cordial has now added even more powerful ready made power cables to its portfolio. The flexible and reliable TITANEX® bulk cable with 3x 2.50 mm² conductor area can be loaded up to 20A without heat generation and minimizes voltage losses even over longer distances. Every crisis is an opportunity. While others stuck their heads in the sand, Cordial made productive use of the turbulent year 2020 with all its cancelled events, postponed festivals and dropped events. We gave various products additional lengths that were in demand, expanded the portfolio in many parts with useful and better products, and celebrated our birthday at least a little bit with our anniversary series EDITION 25. We have also developed significantly internally: for example, we have become much more digital and better, whether through optimized processes or home offices. Our employees have formed a works council to get through the difficult times together and to shape our success as a team. And we firmly believe that every crisis will have an end: To make sure things get back on track soon, we have expanded our warehouse, creating significantly more storage space for even more products. This will allow us to significantly increase our overall stock levels, have space for further products (stay tuned!) and be ready for when the desire for festivals and concerts may also be satisfied again. We are looking forward to a strong 2021, which will definitely be better than this year.

The popular CXM FM microphone cables and the CXI PR instrument cables for the small budget are now available in additional lengths. The microphone cable is now also available in 1m, 2.5m and 7.5m and the guitar cable in 1.5m. The microphone cable as well as the instrument cable are characterized by their low price-level and the high quality nickel-plated NEUTRIK quality plugs. The used bulk cables are the usual high CORDIAL standard. With the new lengths, it is now possible to find the right cable for every application.

Right now, many clubs, bars and concert halls are making the most of the so-called "lockdown light" in Germany and are optimizing their DMX-controlled light systems. To take this into account, Cordial is now expanding its range of ready-made DMX cables, so that the right length is available for every application. Both the 5-pin DMX cables CDX 1 and CDX 2 and the 3-pin control cable CPD FM are now available in lengths of 7.5 m and 15 m. This means that for every moving light, no matter how far away it is, there is a perfectly fitting DMX cable and the guests can finally come again.

The Steinberg company has just launched its red-hot bundle product “The Guitar Recording Kit”. In addition to the components that you need to record your guitar onto a Mac, PC or iPad and produce professional-sounding songs - i.e. top-level Steinberg products (hardware and software) plus the valuable Line 6 Helix Native plug-in - the kit also comprises an "Edition 25" guitar cable from the renowned cable company Cordial (CXI PP Edition 25). We have added some more useful lengths to the cable types CCM, CCI and CIM. The instrument cable CCI PR (with one right angle jack) is now also available in short 1.5m, the CCI PP with two straight jacks in slightly longer 4.5m. The microphone cable CCM FM with REAN® by NEUTRIK® XLRs is now also available in 15m and the CIM FM with REAN SILVER® XLRs developed exclusively for CORDIAL® can now be ordered in the popular length of 3m (10 ft).

Compared to the use of loose cable material, the use of cable drums is particularly efficient when it comes to bridging longer signal paths on projects. Of course, this also comes into play in the field of audio engineering for microphone cables. Cordial offers now a good selection of drummed microphone cable products: CPM FM SD, CPM FM 234 SD and CRM FM-BLACK-SD facilitate the use when laying during events, transport and storage.

All 3 drums are available for cable lengths of 50 meters, 75 meters and 100 meters. They are wound on unbreakable SCHILL® quality drums with 2m side auxiluary spools with black NEUTRIK XLR plugs (and additional heat shrink tubes for individual labelling). Different features result in particular from the cable yard goods used in each case. The CPM FM SD is our all-rounder, while the CPM FM 234 SD offers a particularly high conductor area of 2x 0.34 mm² and the CRM FM-BLACK-SD protects the cable interior with a particularly robust jacket mixture. This means that there is a suitable product for almost every application, whether it is indoor (theaters, halls, halls, churches, ...) or in the context of open-air or drive-in cinema events.

In October 2020, Georg Withof, long-time product manager of the Dachau near Munich-based manufacturer of cables for the MI and event technology sector, took his well-deserved retirement.The new head of product management is the long-standing and proven product development professional Stefan Felbermeir.

He brings along 16 years of national and international experience as product and project manager as well as business development manager in the sports, leisure and automotive sector.

According to his own statement, his goal is to realize long-term competitive advantages based on his ample knowledge regarding products and practical application know-how combined with some innovative new ideas. In his opinion, this includes (hopefully possible again anytime soon) meeting customers face-to-face on site to take in their needs, requirements and suggestions: "Listening is the key word here. Only thus can fruitful product ideas be developed".

Music has accompanied the Bavarian, who lives near Augsburg, from childhood on. For many years he played in a brass orchestra and in various other ensembles. Today, he is very passionate about playing the "Styrian harmonica" to relax after a busy day and let the day fade away. Currently, he is accepting a new musical challenge, that is he started playing the guitar.

CORDIALS new patch cables feature particularly low profile plugs allowing optimally short cable runs between the effects units incorporated in the board as well as an excellent sound transmission.

With the market launch of its CFIP RR patch cable, Cordial meets the demand of musicians to accommodate as many effects units as possible in the pedal board without any unnecessary loss of space and without compromising on the quality of sound transmission between the units. This is due to the fact that CORDIAL uses low profile right-angled 6.3 mm pancake jack plugs, which are hand-soldered to the cable ends. When inserted, the plugs do not protrude more than 1 cm from the device socket. The utilized bulk cable has a diameter of only 6 mm, which also helps to save space.

The 0.22 mm² conductor cross section (AWG 24) and a twisted copper wires shielding (spiral wound screen) greatly contribute to a clean and undistorted signal transmission between the effects units. The diverse cable lengths of 15 cm, 30 cm and 60 cm allow individual connection options between distortion, reverb, wah-wah and similar devices.

By launching their new reeled data cables CSE HH 7-SD, CSE HH 5-SD and CSE HH 5-SD-PVC for long signal paths transmissions, CORDIAL complements its Ethernet cable portfolio.

Each of these products features HIROSE® RJ45 network connectors on both cable ends and robust clip-on protective covers effectively minimize the risk of physical damage. As with our established products which feature HIROSE® RJ45 network connectors and are encased in a NEUTRIK® protective metal housing (and further special variants), these novel products are supplied on the proven and particularly break-proof Schill GT 310 drums (with 2m of the cable wound on a lateral auxiliary spool).

Thanks to the diverse connector options and the general features and technical attributes of the utilized bulk cables each variant is based on, CORDIAL now provides a really comprehensive solution packet regarding data signal transmissions over longer distances for event technicians, technology rental companies and promoters.

As a supplement to the proven CPM FM microphone cable, Cordial can now offer you two further variants: the CPM FRMR with 2 right-angled XLR connectors and the CPM FRM with one straight and one right-angled female XLR connector. These angled connector variants are particularly suitable for space-saving rack cabling. As usual, all connectors come from the quality brand NEUTRIK® and feature a stylish black design. As an important addition to its network cable portfolio, Cordial is launching these new ready-made network cables complying with the Cat 6 data standard onto the market: CSE HH 6 and CSE NN 6.

Based on the CCAT 6 Highflex bulk cable, both cable types are highly flexible and yet very robust. These products provide reliable and stable signal transmissions, especially for dealing with permanently moving objects and stage operations.

A special inner cable design (separate cross) and a specific SF/UTP shielding technology prevent unwanted effects like cross talk etc. This technology allows a higher bandwidth of 250 MHz. 

Our CSE HH 6 features a Cat 6 RJ 45 HIROSE^® network connector, which is hand-assembled and provides a robust clip-on protective cover. The additional robust NEUTRIK^® cable guard NE8MX-B-1 thoroughly protects the respective RJ45 power connectors.

Sophisticated audio and lighting systems are depending more and more on digital data transmission, especially in the event sector. The advantages are quite obvious: Instead of having to lay out heavy and bulky multicore cables, only a light and thin cable will do the same job perfectly. The conversion of audio signals into data, though, also entails the risk of external interferences.

That is why CORDIAL has developed a new CAT 6 data cable (CCAT 6 Highflex), particularly suitable for mobile and varying applications and stages. Due to its special separator-cross design and a shielding combination of CU braided and foil shield, interference-free data transmissions of a bandwidth of up to 250 MHz and 55 meters distance are possible. Compared to Cat 5e cables, this results in a 2.5x faster data transmission. The CCAT 6A INST FRNC, on the other hand, is ideal for fixed installations and especially suited for stationary and static applications.

It is especially convenient that using CORDIAL’s DMX adapter allows you to combine 4 DMX lines in one data cable, thus really simplifying moving lights operations considerably. The CCAT 6 Highflex can be ordered reeled onto 100m and 500m drums (RRP plus VAT: 4.90 €/meter) and will soon also be available assembled with connectors.

Ethernet is now standard in many live and studio applications. In contrast to the CCAT 5, the CCAT 5 PVC uses polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath instead of a polyurethane sheath (PUR). This can save a lot of money, especially on longer distances, without having to fear significant losses in quality.

Like the PUR variant, the CCAT 5 PVC continues to be highly flexible, robust and can be easily drummed. Due to its robust shielding, it transmits all signals without interference.

The electrical characteristics correspond to the category Cat 5e and are therefore suitable for data transmissions with a bandwidth up to 100 MHz. Unlike traditional Ethernet cables, Cordial protects its Cat 5e cables with a tinned copper overall shield from outside interference. This makes it easy to lay Cordial CCAT 5 cables close to live components and cables.

Strings rule! This year’s Guitar Summit will take place in the Rosengarten in Mannheim for the third time. After last year’s pleasing fair experience as an exhibitor we will again be part of the guitar summit ascent in 2019. Konsbud Audio is sales partner of Cordial in Poland and was established in 1989 in Poland. For the first three years they distributed music instruments, and then in 1992-1993 they took up a challenge consisting in the importation and sale of pro audio equipment. It was then that Konsbud became the exclusive distributor of manufacturers such as Neutrik and Studer on the Polish market. 

Around 2000 an idea appeared to extend the offer of Konsbud Audio to include also the installation of electroacoustic systems. The Polish market needed companies that would be able to carry out complex implementation of the largest investment projects. To that end, a group of professionals, implementation specialists, designers, trainers and installation teams had to be gathered in one place. Today they have in their portfolio several dozens of completed installation projects in the most prestigious institutions in Poland. Apart from integration activities, they also co-operate with sales partners. Konsbud distributes over 20 brands of equipment dedicated for pro audio, broadcast and AV markets. 

This year Konsbud-Audio celebrates 30 years of its operation. Konsbud has been the exclusive distributor of Cordial in Poland since the very beginning of its existence (1995). This long relationship between those companies relies on similar hierarchy of values and ambitious goals and that both parties are satisfied from the co-operation. When it comes to music or event productions, NEUTRIK’s etherCON connector has basically become the approved standard for RJ45 connections because of its high mechanical resilience. Due to its special protective metal housing, though, it can’t be used with certain stage equipment.

Therefore, the South German cable manufacturer CORDIAL has extended its data cable range by a cable drum version featuring the universally usable CAT 6A RJ45 connector made by the renowned industrial brand Telegärtner. These high-class “Industrial Ethernet” connectors feature the same electrical properties as etherCON, but can be utilized in the tightest of spaces, e.g. can be connected to network switches suitable for business applications.

It is combined with CORDIAL bulk cable CCAT 7A LONG-RUN. The drum features four meters of the cable reeled onto an auxiliary spool on one drum side. As the icing of the cake, the Telegärtner RJ45 connector features a premounted protective cap.

Based on the bulk cable CMK 234, introduced at the beginning of 2017, the South German cable manufacturer CORDIAL is now presenting the new CPM FM 234 mic cables.

Our objective in developing the CMK 234 bulk cables was to achieve the unfettered suitability for long cable runs combined with superb flexibility. This was realized by using a conductor cross-section of 0.34 mm2 and 26 strands, resulting in a low electric resistance.

Combined with the sturdy NEUTRIK-XLR NC3 FXX BAG, this cable version is now also available in cable lengths of 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and 20 metres.

Advocates of modular synthesizers very often do not use only one tone generator system because today a large variety of attractive models are available. Therefore, you need cables with varying connector sizes. Accordingly, CORDIAL has extended its adapter cable range by a mono version, the CPI PZ, equipped with hand soldered REAN 3.5mm and 6.3mm full metal connectors.

Tim Franke, long-time professional in the digital and classical marketing sectors alike, has been CORDIAL’s Online Marketing Manager since the end of 2016. Due to his ample international experience in the B2B and B2C sectors he is also responsible for the strategic development and realization of CORDIAL’s international marketing.

Our technology expert Günter Schäfer will always be ready to give solution-oriented support to existing and future CORDIAL clients in all issues regarding technology. Due to his longstanding, sales-related experience with regard to musical instruments and professional audio he is extremely well geared for his job as CORDIAL’s technical consultant. 

Thanks to Regina Wondra’s professional training with a renowned music business chain and the ensuing career in the company’s PA department she is well-versed in the cable and accessory business segment. Since the beginning of 2017 she has been supporting CORDIAL specialist retailers and is also focusing on the advancement of our new customer business.

To meet their quality expectations and keep track of highly complex structures, CORDIAL has now developed the new and innovative CPI ZZ patch cables featuring length-based colour codings by means of coloured sleeves.
These cables feature hand-soldered 3.5 mm REAN all-metal connectors.

In contrast to the current customary cables with welded on plastic connectors our new patch cable prevents any interferences perfectly. Our shielded bulk cable CSP 1 consists of pure copper and complies with RoHS III environmental standards. The CPI ZZ patch cable provides CV- and audio transmissions of the highest quality standard.

We support the Bigband Dachau regarding their performance at Montreux Jazz Festival 2017. Our family members were invited by the organizers of this legendary event to perform on July 14 as part of "Music in the Park". It starts at 5pm. Cordial will accompany and report. Our equipment will support the perfect sound on stage.
