Anyone who uses a large number of effects pedals - especially electric guitar or bass players – will soon face the challenge of reaching the spatial limits of their respective pedalboards. Often there is hardly any space left between the individual floor pedals. Additionally, if you then have to work in a rather confined space, the small gaps between the modules should not be clogged up further due to bulky patch cable plugs.
CORDIAL takes this into account by offering its CFIP RR patch cables featuring right-angled 1/4" pancake jack plugs. These angled plugs are so flat that they protrude less than 1 cm from the 6.3 mm device socket. The cables themselves - with a diameter of only 6 mm - are also designed to save space, while still being flexible enough to fit snugly between closely spaced floor pedals.
The 0.22 mm² conductor area (AWG 24) and a twisted copper wires shielding (spiral shield) greatly contribute to a clean and undistorted signal transmission between the effects units. After all, it is crucial when dealing with complex signal chains to be able to bank on the fact that the individual conductors concerned can be virtually excluded as error sources or sources of interference. In any case should sound signals only be "transformed" exclusively by your nifty and sophisticated effects, and not by the conductors.
Another determinant and indispensable feature a patch cable must have is stability. The right-angled plugs (REAN Neutrik®) of the CFIP RR are hand-soldered, the strain relief does not fail even when it comes to frequent plugging and unplugging and the cables themselves are effectively protected against adverse external influences by solid PVC jackets. After all, pedalboards are often essential elements of your live gig setups and hence the material must reliably withstand the extraordinary strains of live operations.
Last but not least, not only the cable in question should have the best possible flexibility, but also the musician herself/himself should be able to arrange the individual modules flexibly at any time, so that the artist can decide on the most functional and reasonable sound design and handling. Our CFIP RR is available in lengths of 15 cm, 30 cm and 60 cm, thus allowing the necessary individual leeway between the different units.
As many floor pedals as feasible in as little space as possible without any significant loss of sound during signal transport - and as "indestructible" as technically realizable: made possible by our CFIP RR.
